What is FemiLift?
Femilift is a vaginal laser procedure performed to help women with vaginal dryness, vaginal laxity and some forms of urinary leakage. The laser is a CO2 laser that is the standard of care for vaginal rejuvenation. The laser causes stimulation of new collagen growth in the vagina. The procedure is performed internally with a vaginal probe.
Is the Femilift vaginal laser procedure painful?
No, the procedure is painless. It is more comfortable than having a pap smear exam.
What will I feel during the procedure?
You will feel some mild pressure. You will feel a warm sensation at the end of the procedure.
How long does it take to perform the procedure?
The Femilift vaginal laser procedure takes 7-15 minutes to perform.
How long after the procedure can I have intercourse?
You should not have intercouse for 3 days after the procedure.
What can I expect after the procedure?
You will most likely have increased vaginal discharge as the cells regenerate. You may experience some light spotting after the procedure. Please bring a pantyliner.

Can I exercise right after Femilift?
Yes most exercises can be continued right after the Femilift procedure but strenuous exercise should be avoided for 3 days.
How long after giving birth can I undergo Femilift vaginal laser treatment?
After a vaginal birth, it is advisable to wait 3 months. This will ensure proper healing from the trauma of delivery.
Can I have Femilift vaginal laser treatment if I am breastfeeding?
Yes
Can I have Femilift if I have previously had vaginal surgery including bladder tuck or hysterectomy?
Yes, unless there was mesh used. If mesh was used then it is most likely unadvisable to have the treatment.
Will any form of Birth Control interfere with the Femilift procedure?
No it will not interfere. You may have an IUD in place. You may have an implant in place. You may be taking oral contraceptives or hormones.
Can I be on my period during the Femilift procedure?
It is advisable not to be on your period during the procedure as it will decrease the effectiveness of the procedure.
